DETAILS The scheme "RKVY Soil Health and Fertility - Soil Health Card" implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, aims to promote soil test-based nutrient management through providing Soil Health Cards to farmers across India. The Soil Health Card contains the status of soil with respect to 12 parameters, including macro-nutrients, micro-nutrients, and soil properties. Based on the test results, the card provides recommendations regarding fertilizers and soil amendments required for the farm. The scheme also seeks to strengthen soil testing laboratories and build the capacity of district and state-level staff. It helps farmers make informed decisions regarding nutrient management and fertilizer use. BENEFITS Soil Health Card: Provides a Soil Health Card containing detailed soil analysis results. Soil Testing Facility: Provides free or affordable access to soil testing services. Soil Analysis Report: Provides timely and accurate soil analysis results to farmers. Nutrient Recommendations: Provides customized soil nutrient and fertilizer recommendations based on soil test results. Cost Optimization: Helps farmers optimize fertilizer use and reduce input costs by avoiding under-application or over-application of fertilizers. Soil Fertility Assessment: Assesses soil status based on 12 parameters: Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), Potassium (K), Sulphur (S) Zinc (Zn), Iron (Fe), Copper (Cu), Manganese (Mn), Boron (Bo) pH, Electrical Conductivity (EC), Organic Carbon (OC) Financial Norms: Soil Sampling, Testing and Generation of Soil Health Card: ₹300/- per Soil Health Card. Soil Collection: ₹40/- Soil Testing and Analysis: ₹150/- Awareness Activities: ₹110/- ELIGIBILITY The applicant must be a farmer. The applicant must be residing in India.
