DETAILS The “Uttarakhand Tourism and Travel Business Registration Rules” is implemented by the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board under the Department of Tourism, Government of Uttarakhand. It aims to establish a transparent, efficient, and standardized system for the online registration of tourism-related businesses and service units across the state. BENEFITS Under this initiative, tourism-related businesses and services within the state are registered online through the Department of Tourism. ELIGIBILITY The following units are eligible for registration under the Rules: Residential Units: Hotels, motels, resorts, guest houses, dharamshalas, ashrams, etc. Travel Trade-related Units: Travel agents, domestic tour operators, excursion agents. Catering-related Units: Restaurants, beer bars, fast food centres, food plazas, food courts, etc. Entertainment-related Units: Amusement/theme parks, golf courses, ropeways, sound and light shows, angling units, etc. Adventure Tourism-related Units: Adventure tour operators, kayaking, canoeing, water sports, river rafting, wall climbing, mountaineering, rock climbing, paragliding, etc. Other Units: Handicraft/souvenir shops, yoga and meditation centres/sadhana kutirs, tourist information centres, and nature/adventure/wildlife photography units, etc.
